The game has a lot of lore to discover and plenty of fantastic quests that are sure to keep players entertained for hours at a time. The game had so many quests that it’s hard to pick which are the best ones, truth be told. But I powered through and organized my favorites, so if you’re looking for quests you’ve come to the right place. The general public’s opinion on various gaming forums seems to be in line with mine, so I’m sure that you’ll love to play each and every one of these. Let’s dive in!
10. Temple Quests
The Temple quests are a series of missions in Morrowind that every old school player will be completely familiar with. It might not be completely fair to have all the temple quests within a single point on this list, but they’re all so fun that I was going to struggle to pick one out individually. Play them all if you’re looking to have a good time.
9. Ennbjof’s Nord Burial
Ennbjof might not have the most compelling look in Morrowind. In fact it definitely doesn’t. But one thing’s for sure – the secret that he holds will give you access to some of the biggest riches in the land. Sit down, have a talk and a drink with the old man and let him spill out the beans on his information – you sure as hell won’t regret speaking to him.
8. Morag Tong Questline
The assassins that are the Morag Tong members give you access to some of the coolest quests in the entire game. This organization might look extremely irregular. And some of their activities might seem illegal in the eyes of the public, but they actually worked together with the Empire during the occupation of Morrowind. Now these quests are fun either way, and they offer something totally different compared to other questlines. If you want something with a darker tone than average, check out the Morag Tong questline. You won’t regret it.
7. Pilgrimages of the Seven Graces
Although technically this one is a temple quest, its length is of such size that I rather give you a full breakdown of what you can expect to do on it. I love pilgrimage quests as I think it provides users with the chance to visit plenty of different locations in the game. But unlike the ones in Oblivion, these ones do provide you with a bit more of a challenge – you’ll need to make some offerings to the shrines that can prove to be a tad challenging to find!
6. Fighter’s Guild Questline
This questline is truly fascinating and one that I found way more entertaining than any Fighter’s Guild questline in other Elder Scrolls games. I mean, the end of this questline will have you go head to head against the leaders of the Thieves Guild. What’s not to love about two of the most powerful guilds in the land facing off?
5. House Redoran Questline
Although there are a handful of houses in Morrowind, I do think that the House Redoran questline is the most entertaining of the bunch. Sure, it might begin a bit slowly (trust me it does – the first few quests are quite tedious) but give it a chance. At least get past the first quest to see what it’s all about. The entire questline is rather amazing once you dive in, and it’ll have you on your toes during the last few missions. Besides, joining House Redoran is a smart move anyway. So you might as well enjoy the quests afterward!
4. Remove the Heads of the Thieves Guild
Technically this is the last quest of the Fighter’s Guild questline, but as I said before, the ending of this questline is as good as they get. This is the penultimate mission, but I found it far better than the last one. You will be faced with the task of eliminating all of the most important members of the Thieves’ Guild bar its leader. Sounds crazy, and it is! Definitely a challenging quest (especially on the higher difficulties) but one of the most entertaining ones in the game.
3. The East Empire Company Colony
Have you ever wanted to work for a massive company? Are you looking to form part of one of the most important guilds in the land? If so, you’ll have to check out the East Empire Company questline which ends with you building an estate of your own as a member of the company. By far one of the best quests in the game, not only because of its fantastic nature but also because of the ultimate rewards that it provides the player with!
2. Silent Pilgrimage
We all know that the Nerevarine face a ton of amazing quests in Morrowind. And this temple quest just proves my point that the Temple Quests are the best thing to have happened to this game. The Silent Pilgrimage will have you take a vow of silence and advance toward a small pilgrimage to the Sanctus Shrine. Only after completing it will the vow be lifted, and you’ll receive your juicy rewards.
1. Corprus Cure
Not only is getting a cure for Corprus extremely difficult, but it’s also extremely fun. Corprus, in case you don’t know it, is one of the most annoying diseases in The Elder Scrolls. I would tell you that it’s far more difficult to cure than Vampirism in Oblivion and Skyrim, but the quest that you’ll have to complete will ultimately provide you with a useful cure. Corprus Cure is a quest given to you by Caius, and since you always get Corprus as part of the main questline, you’ll always have to complete this quest playing through the game. It’s part of the main story, so you know it’s got to be good! And still a fan favorite to this day.
