These awards recognize the best games showcased every year at E3 and distinguish the games that will shape the future of interactive entertainment; to be eligible the games must be made playable to Game Critics judges at E3.
Games like The Division, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, The Witcher III and Super Smash Bros were not made playable to the Judges and therefore disqualified from award consideration.
